Week of March 10

Syllabus: Week of March 10, 2008

All assignments are due Friday, March 14

Our main focus Monday and Tuesday is to finish up ISAT tests. More homework may be given this week depending on amount of time remaining after ISAT completion.

Math -
Assignment: Math Facts packet (extra credit).


Language Arts -

Assignment: As of 3/10, no weekly assignment.


Reading Daily multi-sensory drill based on Orton-Gillingham method
Weekly strategy: Sequencing via a Timeline

Assignment: Story: "L. Frank Baum", part 1

Oral book report presentations for February will be given Friday, March 14. Time will be give in class for preparation. . Students who are not ready to present their report on Friday will earn a zero on this 40 pt. assignment.


Science

Syllabus: 1/14-17

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! My very best to you and yours in 2008

All assignments are due Thursday this week since Fri. is an Institute Day.

Math - Students are continuing with chapter 4 of our Everyday Math program. In addition, students are working on an independent unit where each works at his/her own pace on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.

Assignment: Math Facts packet (extra credit). Workbook pages 150, 151, 152, 153, 156, 159


Language Arts -
1 Weekly writing assignment using technology Ms. Lenzo taught students. Students will have class time to complete this task.

Assignment: List 35, part 2


Reading Daily multi-sensory drill based on Orton-Gillingham method
Weekly strategy: Identifying Problems & Solutions in Stories

Assignment: Story: "The Fisherman Who Wanted a Knife"

Week of Feb. 4 8 - Oral book reports for January. Students who are not ready to make report will lose points.


Science
Assignment: Students should check homework board in classroom.

Social Studies - Finish our last unit of the Constitution, "The Amendments."
Test on Friday, the 21st. Study a little each night, so it is not overwhelming!!!!
